Farrier Chris Edwards claimed his third Derby win with the stunning victory of Workforce at Epsom June 5th

 

Chris was down at the start to ensure that nothing went wrong at the last minute and so, travelling back in a vehicle, he could only see the horse's backside as he chased  At First Sight  after Tattenham Corner, then stormed away to win in a course record time.

 

Chris's previous Derby wins came with Benny the Dip for John Gosden and North Light, also for Sir Michael Stoute. He has been the principal farrier at Sir Michael Stoute's HQ in Newmarket for many years.

 

Workforce was shod in Victory racing plates.
