CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SUMMER 2010 STARS OF TRACK, FIELD AND COURT

We have seen some great performances this summer from our stars both equine and human.

Harbinger (sadly now retired after an injury on the gallops) put up an awe-inspiring display in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.

Likewise, Canford Cliffs continued the dream season of Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. Both horses wore Victory racing plates - the choice of champions.

Meanwhile, Jessica Ennis proved herself a real champion in the heptathlon at the European Championships in Barcelona, bringing home another gold medal; and Andy Murray beat both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in succession to take the Rogers Cup in Canada, and now heads to the US Open in better form than he has been since the Australian Open back at the start of the year.

We salute them all.
