OVERDOSE SUPER SPEEDY IN SOUNDHORSE GLUE ON SHOES
Hungarian sprint sensation OVERDOSE continued his comeback from injury with a ten-length success at Kincsem Park in Hungary on Sunday 15 August.
As a result, British racing farrier Stuart Packham, who has been shoeing Overdose for the last two years, has himself become a legend in Hungary and was presented with a trophy by the Prime Minister of the country for his work in caring for the iconic horse's feet.
Stuart shoes the horse in the lightweight SoundHorse glue-on shoes - no nails are needed. He has been a regular user of the SoundHorse Series 1 shoes for many years - another famous horse on which he used them was Straw Bear.
Stuart is farrier to Amanda Perrett and Nick Gifford, but when work is needed on Overdose's feet, he jumps on a plane to Budapest.
Overdose is next expected to run in the Group 2 Goldene Peitsche at Baden-Baden on August 29. If he wins, that will be 15 straight victories.
